Virtual Environments

An early VR walkabout created for USAF recruiting. The debug screen was used to log messages passed from the VR world to a multi-user game server that required Flash to expose its API at the time of development (RedFox)
This X-Ray machine was created in Lightwave and composited in multiple layers so that the suitcase could be animated along with the screens above. The particle effects and lights were added at runtime. Animation, compositing and control were done in Director/Shockwave.
This environment was designed to encourage actively searching for hazards. The learner, a security guard, was typically conditioned to detect external threats.

Another example created from the same code to cover slightly different content.

This simulation used actual scan data from a device, which consisted of matrices of CT slices. The images were extracted and transformed to a file format usable in the simulation. Some images contained actual threats that were prepared by counter-terrorism experts. An image of the control panel from the device is used for input based on the image contents. The same, or similar, images were displayed on the actual device at random during operation to field test operators.
